It is easier than clay:

• Empty your old litter and clean the box.
• Pour one full bag of Crystal Clean into the box (about 2 inches deep).
• Scoop solid waste daily.
• Stir the crystals every couple days so urine distributes evenly.
• Replace the full bag once a month.

Trash only — do not flush. Scoop solids into the trash daily, and when the full bag is saturated (about once a month), bag it up and toss it. Never flush silica crystals down the toilet, as they can clog plumbing.

Most cats transition without any issue — silica crystals have a soft, sand-like feel that cats take to quickly. For finicky cats, we recommend mixing Crystal Clean with your current litter for the first few days, then gradually phasing out the old one.

Absolutely. For two cats, we recommend two bags per month. The general rule of thumb is one bag per cat per month, plus an extra litter box for every additional cat.

Crystal Clean works in any automated litter box that is compatible with non-clumping litter. It does not work with the Litter-Robot, which is specifically designed for clumping litter.

If you are unsure whether your auto-box supports non-clumping litter, check the manufacturer's documentation before switching.

Yes. Silica gel is the same non-toxic material used in food and pharmaceutical packaging. That said, like any cat litter, it is not meant to be eaten — keep the box in a low-traffic area and supervise small children around it.

Unopened bags do not expire — silica is shelf-stable for years. Once the bag is opened and in use, it will gradually saturate with moisture and odor over about a month, at which point it is time to replace it.

Yes. From your account, you can change your delivery date, swap pack sizes, update your shipping address, or skip a shipment entirely. Changes need to be made at least 2 days before your next charge date.

If you or your cat are not happy with Crystal Clean, email us at meow@crystalcleanlitter.com within 30 days of your first order and we will refund you in full. No need to ship the product back. We want you to try it risk-free.
